First Time Students

Students who have never attended college and are interested in starting their college degree at UM Bitterroot are considered first-time college students.

Students who have earned college credit in the past from an institution other than UM Bitterroot, Missoula College, or the University of Montana are considered transfer students.

Students who have earned college credit at UM Bitterroot, Missoula College, or University of Montana in the past but have not taken any courses in the past 24 months are considered readmission students.

Students who are interested in taking college courses at the Bitterroot College but are not seeking a degree through the UM Bitterroot, Missoula College, or the University of Montana are considered non-degree seeking students.
