Mindy May, GEAR UP Program Manager, is an impassioned educator who enjoys assisting students on their higher educational journey. Her goal is to help GEAR UP students P.A.S.S. college through--personal success, academic success, sense of belonging, and sustainment as a lifelong learner.    

Mindy received a Bachelor's degree in Communications and her Master's in Higher Education. She loves Montana and all the great outdoors offers, hiking, camping, fishing, floating, the great big sky.  In her spare time she enjoys being with her family, playing pickleball, and reading. Go GRIZ!

I am the GEARUP AISS Coordinator. I am Tanya Plainfeather-Gardner, I am Crow Indian from Lodge Grass Montana. I am 51 years old with 10 Children. Their ages range from 36-21. I have 11 grandchildren. I come from a large family. I enjoy sewing and beading in my spare time. I am an Art major here at the University of Montana. I have worn many hats in my lifetime. I am really looking forward to working with the students.
