Research Interests

My overall interest is in how planets form and evolve. My current research takes advantage of our local planet laboratory (Earth) to study planetary structure. Specically, I'm using hydrogeodesy, GNSS stations, and ocean tidal loading to study Earth structure.

Beyond individual planets, I'm interested in using the structure of systems (disk structures like debris disks and protoplanetary disks as well as the spin-orbit alignment of stars/planets, planets/moons, etc) to understand the history of these systems.

I'm also interested in statistics and inverse methods.

Hobbies

Music - I love to play the euphonium (looks like a small tuba that plays in the same range as a trombone). During the school year, I play in the UM Concert Band and during the summer, I play in the Missoula City Band. I also play guitar at home and I recently started learning banjo.
