Course Options

Over the five weeks in the summer, students will complete one and/or two online courses:

  • A 3-credit co-curricular course, GPS: Griz Pathways to Success, focused on developing tools and strategies to have a successful academic and career experience while at UM and beyond.
  • A 3-credit course that fulfills a UM general education requirement.

The courses included in this program are standard UM courses and are taught at an accelerated pace for the summer session. If you are an IN-STATE student, these courses will appear on your UM transcript as "Dual Enrollment, Non-Degree." For both In-State and Out-of-State students, these credits WILL count towards the students' degree at UM and grade(s) from these course(s) will be included in their GPA.

Students’ participation in and engagement with the coursework is mandatory. Final letter grades will be awarded at the end of the course, which will impact the student’s college GPA. Students who are unable to meet time commitments must contact course professors immediately.
