Bridge Scholars Program

BridgesDesigned to give TRIO UB graduates a head start on college, the Bridge Scholars program allows a handful of exceptional students the chance to enroll in a University of Montana course the summer after their high school graduation. To apply, students must be seniors in high school who have above average grades, shown a strong dedication to TRIO Upward Bound, and gained admission to the University of Montana.

All of the courses are also attended by other University of Montana summer session students. TRIO Upward Bound pays all costs associated with the student's participation in the Bridge Scholars program (including tuition, fees, textbooks, and room and board—a potential savings of up to $5,000 per student). In addition to their coursework, Bridge Scholars also learn about resources for academic assistance on campus, receive help with modifying their course plans for the fall semester, attend workshops related to college prep skills, and participate in a learning or research experience.
