Do you have questions about participating in a noncredit course or program at the University of Montana? You have come to the right place! This page will help you answer some frequently asked questions and concerns you might have! 

Noncredit Course, Program or Certificate FAQ

Noncredit programs, courses and certificates are open to anyone who would benefit either personally or professionally from taking them.

Taking Noncredit programs, courses, and certificate programs has many benefits. You can have both professional and personal benefits and gain skills that otherwise may be difficult to master.

Courses and links to registration can be accessed via Campus CE.

Fees can vary from program to program and courses. You may review the fees associated with programs you may be interested online on the Extended Courses catalog.

Yes, if the course is held anytime Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Students who are taking only noncredit courses or participating in programs and certificates do not receive the same benefits that traditional students receive. 

However, if a student is a traditional student but also participating in a secondary program or certificate that is noncredit, the student would receive the benefits associated with their status as a traditional student.
