Final Steps

Welcome home!

Now that you're back, please take the following steps: 

• Review the remainder of your Program Checklist, provided in the Pre-Departure Orientation.
• Complete your final Program Evaluation questionnaire located within your online study abroad application.  You must do this before we can release your transcript to Enrollment Services for credit transfer processing!
• Make sure your transcript from abroad will be sent to the Global Engagement Office, directly.
• Education Abroad will contact you once your transcript arrives. Upon receiving your transcript from your host university, we will submit the original transcript to UM's Enrollment Services for credit transfer and processing.
  • IMPORTANT: If the original study plan has not been followed exactly, it is the student's responsibility to address any changes and provide any and all required documentation to Enrollment Services so they may facilitate the student's credit transfer accurately and completely. 

Get Involved & Share Your Experience

• Consider applying for one of our Education Abroad Internships for academic credit.  
• Consider becoming a Study Abroad Ambassador to promote study abroad to other UM students. 
• Give back to the international community and consider becoming a Conversation Partner to an international student in UM's English Language Institute.
• Think about becoming a friend to an incoming international student though the Global Partners Program.
• Learn about internship opportunities abroad through IE3 Global Internships.
• Explore future opportunities for international experiences through the UM Peace Corps office.
