Interfraternity Council (IFC)
The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the governing body of the recognized
men’s fraternities at the University of Montana. IFC consists of representatives
from each chapter. In addition to these representatives, IFC has executive
officers who are elected into one year terms that run from January to December.
IFC’s responsibilities include: representing fraternity interests
to the rest of the Greek community and to The University, coordinating recruitment
and other all-fraternity or all-Greek events, providing opportunities for
leadership to Greek men, initiating positive public relations projects for
fraternities, and planning social and community service events for Greek
men. Holding a position on IFC will provide students with hands-on leadership,
budgeting and event planning experience, interpersonal communication and
time management skills, and much more.
When you become an active member of your fraternity, consider serving on
IFC. The rewards of being a leader in our fraternal community are tremendous!
