Never a dull moment.

There are only so many hours in the day, and with countless groups to join, sports to play and performances to take in, you’ll have no problem filling them. And that’s just on campus. Missoula makes a lot of “best town” lists and for good reason. Take it all in as a Grizzly.

University Center

The University Center – or the UC, as we call it – is UM's Student Union. It is the hub of campus activity, providing student-focused opportunities, programs, services and space.

Inside the UC you'll find the UM Bookstore, the UC Market, the Gaming Den, student life offices, several dining venues, an art gallery, a movie theater, the impressive UC Gardens that span three stories and more.

Campus Dining

Every student wants to know if a college has good grub. At UM, the answer is a resounding “yes”! UM's Campus Dining is recognized for our award-winning team of chefs, sustainability programs and special dining events.

We offer 21 dining venues across campus and two unique student dining plans to satisfy even the most selective palates. And, we not only serve great food, we grow it at our on-campus gardens, too. Eat up.

UM Housing

Our housing options create a living environment that fosters a sense of community and nurtures your educational experiences and personal development. We offer nine on-campus residence halls, apartment-style living in Lewis and Clark Village, and family housing in the University Villages. Welcome home.

Health and Well-Being

Your overall well-being is at the heart of everything we do at the Curry Health Center. We provide high-quality and affordable medical, dental, counseling and wellness services. Additional services include an on-campus pharmacy and X-ray services. Seeing a health professional as a UM student is easy and convenient.

Curry Health Center Counseling Services offers support and assistance in connecting students with resources on and off-campus. Our licensed counselors, social workers and psychologists, as well as advanced graduate students, offer individual and group therapy in addition to urgent counseling. There is no cost to students for initial consultations and subsequent individual sessions are $25 (up to a total of 12 sessions in an academic year).

At UM, we recognize the foundational importance of well-being to our success as individuals and as a university. By building a culture of well-being that is embedded into all aspects of campus life, our community will thrive. UM's Well-Being Resource webpage is a centralized location to find well-being support services and information for students, faculty/staff and parents/guardians of students.

Serving military-affiliated students with pride

Active service members, veterans and military-affiliated students hold a special place in the heart of Griz Nation. UM's Military and Veterans Services office helps military-affiliated students navigate the educational benefits and programs offered through Veterans Affairs, and we work as your liaison between the University and the VA.

Accessible for All

We believe potential should know no limits. That’s why we’re committed to providing equal opportunities in education, employment, programs, activities and services to everyone, including those with disabilities. To us, access is not only a civil right, it’s just right.

UM's Office for Disability Equity ensures that programs of the University of Montana are as accessible and usable by students with disabilities as they are for any student.

ASUM Sports Clubs

Axe throwing, Ultimate Frisbee, women’s rugby, taekwondo. The Associated Students of the University of Montana sporting clubs offer many varieties of sports. Some common – like lacrosse – and others – hurling – not so much.

The Missoula Community

Missoula is a special place. We are a welcoming, friendly and inclusive community that makes room for writers, scientists, artists, gamers, dreamers and change-makers.

With a city population of about 80,000 residents, Missoula lies at the convergence of five mountain ranges and offers 360 degrees of stunning views. Known as the arts and culture capital of Montana, Missoula's top-rated music venues draw nationally touring acts and local bands alike, galleries line the streets of downtown and opportunities for community involvement can be found at every turn.

As a student, you will be a part of this special place.
