In 1904, Greek Life began at The University
of Montana. Today, nine chapters are strong and vital members of the Greek
Life community. All Greek chapters here on campus are affiliated with nationally-strong
organizations.
Greek Life offers students a unique opportunity to have a balanced college life with a focus on academic excellence, brotherhood/sisterhood, community service and responsible social interaction. Greek Life allows students to make lasting friendships with individuals with similar ideals and common purposes.
The Office of Greek Life works closely with all five fraternities and four sororities to improve their organizations and to help their members become successful students of the UM community.
