Financial Information
At The University of Montana, it often costs less to live in a Greek chapter
house than to live in a residence hall. Greek houses often have cooks, laundry
facilities, and cable all included in the price. Greek students, like many
college students, need financial assistance and have jobs. Therefore, most
chapters are willing to offer monthly payment plans for those who need it.
Some chapters organize their billing through the University billing system
to make payments easier for all members, especially those who depend on
financial aid.
Most chapter budgets include line items such as: Chapter Dues, Inter/national
Dues, Panhellenic/IFC dues, Initiation Fee, Pin/Badge Fee, meals, facility
maintenance, room rent, room deposit, keys, and salaries for the house mother
and/or the cook.
