NARL Summer Program 2009

The University of Montana's Native American Research Laboratories hosted more than 15 Native American students this summer as part of the NARL summer internships program. High school, undergraduate, and graduate students worked on research projects in molecular biology and genetics, microbiology, biochemistry, ecology, geosciences, and chemistry. In addition, several students participated in off-campus workshops and field trips. Sources of support for student summer internships include: The National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates program, The National Science Foundation All Nation's Louis Stoke's Alliance for Minority Participation program, The American Chemical Society SEED program, Howard Hughes Medical Institute's MILES program, and The National Science Foundation's International Research Experiences for Students program.
