Listen/Éist is an original performance script developed from interview materials collected by The Gathering and created by students of the School of Theatre and Dance at the University of Montana. The Gathering: Collected Oral Histories of the Irish in Montana is a long-term, interdisciplinary oral history project which records and archives the Irish and Irish American folk histories, memories, practices, and traditions of Montana.

By using a variety of techniques, incorporating the recorded voice recorded video, sound effects, and stage imagery, the actors of Listen/Éist brought these various stories to life in front of their audience. This script tells the stories of ten Irish Montanans, across the state; Listen/Éist gives an insight into the lives of these Montana Irish in their own words and as a shared experience that can be performed in front of a live audience.
