This is one of two student IDs you will get. This set of numbers is specific to you only. This number
will be on your Griz Card, which may be used for building access, borrowing privileges at the Mansfield Library, discounts to University events. When you meet with an advisor this is the number they will ask you for to help you schedule classes.

Net ID

This is one of two student IDs you will get. This is First Initial, Last Initial, and six numbers. This is a UM login credential that allows campus users to connect to many web-based systems and applications with the same login and password. Once your NetID is established it never changes. The initial password is the last six digits of your University ID (the 790 number). The first time you log in you will change your NetID password.

Moodle

Log in with your Net ID. Moodle is used by professors to set up online content for your class. Assignments, quizzes, readings, resources, forums, videos, submit assignments, graded assignments, and grades. (Note: not all professors use Moodle, so make sure to consult your syllabus). On Moodle you will find:

  • Gradebook - grades for graded assignments, forums, quizzes, etc.
  • Joule Grader - additional grade information may be located here
  • Course Badges - a list of any badges you have earned that are available in this course
  • Joule Reports - your activity log for the course which both you and the instructor can see

Cyberbear

Log in with your NetID. CyberBear is where you will find:

  • Student Services - Degree Works
  • Registration, course Add/Drop
  • Student records, student loans
  • Overall Financial Aid status, your award, Financial Aid forms
  • If you work for the University, including Work Study, this is where you will find your earnings and tax information

Griz Card

  • Use this for athletic activities
  • Food Zoo
  • Have money saved on this for coffee, Bear Bucks, UMoney, and other

Alternative Transportation

  • The buses in Missoula are free
  • BikingAssembling a tee pee in 1/4 of the oval near the Payne Native American Center.
