EO/TIX Collaboration

BRT partners may share reports of bias-based harm involving students with the Equal Opportunity and Title IX (EO/Title IX) office. EO/Title IX is responsible for any investigation or adjudication related to discrimination, harassment, or retaliation on the basis of protected status. EO/TIX will contact any identified complainants before initiating an investigation and can provide protective and supportive measures regardless of whether a formal process is initiated.

Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation Policy

Before filling out the EO/Title IX Report, please read the EO/Title IX website to review policies and procedures.

You can report incidents of bias-based harm involving students to the BRT by contacting any of the BRT members.

When incidences occur, the BRT partners may:

  • Provide consultation to students and student support programs
  • Facilitate support and advocate for students
  • Provide referrals to appropriate offices and programs
  • Facilitate contact with EO/Title IX office, Office of Community Standards, or UMPD to submit a formal report
  • Share reports of bias-based harm involving students with Equal Opportunity and Title IX office

BRT shares UM’s commitment to guard against historical patterns in predominantly white institutions – where racism and white supremacy have consistently been ignored or underemphasized despite being this country’s most historically trenchant form of oppression and privileging – by explicitly calling out our commitment to BIPOC members of our community.
