Training Opportunities

In Person Training & Discussions for Students or Employees

EO/TIX staff can provide guidance on a number of topics such as Title IX reporting, UM Policies, Equitable Hiring, Non-Discrimination Laws and Practices, or ADA accommodations.

Your Responsibility as an Employee to Report

UM employees are mandatory reporters when it comes to students disclosing information about discrimination based on sex and sexual harassment, but many people don’t know what that means. This session will focus on what UM employees need to know about Title IX and their mandatory reporting obligations. It will outline the University’s Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation policy, how to respond if a student shares that they have been the victim of discrimination based on sex or sexual harassment, mandated reporting, what protective and supportive measures are available to students who report to the Title IX Coordinator, what confidentiality means in this context, and how we are looking to change our campus culture through bystander intervention. To RSVP for an upcoming training session, please visit the Office of Organizational Learning and Development website (located here).

Additional Information about student prevention education can be found on the Student Affairs UM Prevention Education Programs page.
