Personal Summary
I'm a graduate student pursuing a Masters of Arts in Linguistics and assisting Dr. Mizuki Miyashita in Blackfoot phonological data analysis. I have a deep passion for language revitalization and second language acquisition, so I plan to pursue those areas of applied linguistics post-graduation. I also have a technical background and work in data management and website development for UM's Office for Student Success.

University of Montana Department of Anthropology, Linguistics Program
Research Assistant, November 2022 – Present
Analyze, segment, and annotate phonetic data from recordings in Blackfoot. This analysis is conducted in Praat and ELAN. Transcribe audio of conferences such as the Conference on Indigenous Science and Language (CISL) in ELAN to create subtitles.
University of Montana Office for Student Success
Tech Assistant, May 2023 - Present
Maintain databases and update student records in Banner. Update, redesign, and otherwise improve OSS websites. Created a database for website update requests, and automated related processes to make the request system as smooth as possible.
Tech Intern, April 2022 – December 2022; May 2023 - Present
Migrated multiple University of Montana websites to a new template, which involved accessibility checks, HTML clean-up, redesigns. Maintain databases and updated student records in Banner. Performed quality assurance on various University of Montana online forms, including the undergraduate AIQ.

Zoom Technician, August 2021 – May 2022
Operated audio/video equipment for the MBA program. Was responsible for troubleshooting all other tech issues as they arose during the recording.
Student Advisor, October 2020 – August 2021
Welcomed students to the Gianchetta Student Success Center at the College of Business. Answered phone calls and made appointments. Special projects included digitizing paper files and transferring student records to a new CRM.
