Andy Schultz

Andy is a born and raised Missoulian who was a professional mountain bike racer for nine years. During that time he won the Under-23 National Championships, had multiple national level podiums, and attended the World Championships. After an eight-year hiatus, Andy returned to Missoula and currently works for WGM Group, a local engineering firm as an engineer specializing in water systems, storm water management, and distribution and collection infrastructure.

As a student at Hellgate High School, there were four other high schoolers in the entire Missoula Valley who were into riding bikes. This makes the recent growth of junior mountain bike programs, like ZTD, incredibly exciting. He is excited to be part of the formation of a program for older students, so they can start, or continue, to develop their passion for mountain biking. Andy has benefited tremendously from the sport of cycling, including traveling the world, making lifelong friends, setting and working towards goals, and the value of physical fitness and activity. He is excited for the opportunity to help share these experiences and values with students, whether they go on to ride their bike the rest of their lives or attend a single race.
