Interpreting Your Bill Each Semester

• Online Learning: Fee of $30 per credit hour to cover the asynchronous costs of LMS and technology support.
• Video Conference fee: Fee of $30 per credit hour to cover the synchronous costs of LMS and technology support.
• Blended fee: Fee of $17 per credit hour to cover additional LMS and technology support.
• Campus-based fees: Campus-based fees will be applied per the Tuition and Fee structure for all face-to-face, video conference (online), and blended classes.

When you get your new schedule, please talk to your adviser if you have questions about fees. Fees are subject to change. Please visit UM’s Tuition and Fee web page for the most current information.

Students enrolled only in online courses may opt into distance-only status to waive the immunization requirement and certain campus-based fees. 

Distance-only status is generally not applied to a student account, you can change your status online with the Office of the Registrar. 

Choosing The Right Modality for You

1. Take a look at the list of courses available. 
2. Decide what courses you would like to take.
3. Communicate with your academic advisor about the list of courses you are interested in.
4. Register for classes in Cyberbear.

• If you were signed up for a class that has been canceled, you can reach out to your adviser to find alternatives, or to find out when that course will be offered again.
• If you have questions about your new schedule, please contact your adviser. They can answer questions and make other changes if you need them.
