Phoenix is the UM student organization that represents personal interests, academic interests and helps meet special needs for “nontraditional” students – usually defined as students age 24 and older, or married, or parents, or who have completed military service.

A very active segment of UM’s student community in the past, Phoenix is now working to reclaim that position following a period of less visibility. Phoenix has begun a period of rebuilding and is prepared to arrange for non-traditional students to receive peer advising, tutoring, assistance with emergency housing, limited short-term loans, and other services.
