SUMMER SEMSTER 2009 GENERAL EDUCATION REQIREMENTS
Last Update: January 29, 2009.

Undergraduate degree students at The University of Montana-Missoula must complete courses which meet general education requirements. The general competency requirements concern basic skills, and courses listed under Competencies 1, 2 and 3 help fulfill 2008-2009 requirements. The distributional requirements concern the breadth of one's education, and courses listed under Perspectives 1-6 help fulfill 2008-2009 requirements. In this schedule, students should look for the following codes indicating general education courses (shown as suffixes to course numbers).

A = Expressive Arts
L = Literary & Artistic Studies
H = Historical & Cultural Studies
S = Social Sciences
E = Ethical and Human Values
N = Natural Sciences

Summer courses fulfilling the Writing Skills, Mathematics and Foreign Language/Symbolic Systems requirements do not have identifying codes but are listed below.

SUMMER SEMESTER 2009 SHORT COURSE OPPORTUNITIES
Last Update: February 4, 2009.

New educational opportunities in workshop or short courses begin each week during Summer Semester. Students may complete substantial course work during specialized short-format classes. Short courses may require students to work on assignments after course meetings have ended.
