Experience of the University of Montana’s largest coffee shop, Rise+Rooted, a unique space where coffee, pizza and academic aspirations come seamlessly together. Located in the Emma B. Lommasson Center, this location is more than just a convenience store – it's a “third-place” where students, faculty, and staff come together to study, relax, or grab a quick meal.
Signature Station Highlights
Pizza + Pasta: Sometimes fun just to watch our staff toss the dough, this location is becoming quite a fan favorite. Whether looking for our signature, chef-crafted pizzas like Three Little Pigs and Pesto Pie or wanting to Build Your Own with a variety of ingredients, our pizza concept is one you will want to explore. Don’t forget to spice it up with a drizzle of BBQ, Buffalo, Sriracha, or Balsamic Glaze. Looking for something aside from pizza? Try out the variety of pasta bowls.
Hot n’ Crispy: If you simply cannot wait for the Food Zoo’s Chicken Strip Night, Hot n’ Crispy offers them fresh every day! Offering a variety of golden, brown, and delicious items, this location is home to many of your favorites. This location also serves the best grilled cheeses that pair well with the variety of rotating soups, made fresh by our culinary team every morning.
Coffee Bar: Rise+Rooted’s coffee bar opens at 8AM Monday-Friday during the academic year to energize its many faithful customers with an espresso beverage from Black Coffee Roasting Company or a frozen Bull Shot made from Red Bull, blended ice and flavorings. This popular location also serves up a variety of your favorite Lotus Energy drinks.

Destination for Smoothies on Campus
Rise+Rooted is the only location on campus serving up some of the best smoothies Missoula has to offer. All of our smoothies contain frozen whole fruits, fresh vegetables, and juice. There are no concentrated fruit purees or bases. Our smoothies also support local by partnering with Kalispell Kreamery and Cool Earth creamery.
