The Department of Counselor Education at The University of Montana, Missoula is recruiting for a full time, tenure track assistant professor of Counselor Education. The Department offers two master's degree options in School and Mental Health Counseling. The Department also has a small doctoral program in Counselor Education and Supervision and an Ed.S. degree. The master's degree options are CACREP accredited through 2013.
Responsibilities include teaching graduate courses in Counselor Education, graduate student advising, scholarly research and service to the Department, College of Education and Human Sciences, The University of Montana and beyond.
This is a 10 month academic year appointment. Summer teaching for additional compensation may be possible.

An earned doctorate in Counselor Education or a closely related field and license eligibility in a school or mental health profession in Montana.
Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience and supervision of student practica and internship, as well as expertise in school counseling and/or multicultural approaches to counseling.
