Position is the Web/Database Administrator for the Division of Student Affairs overseeing Student Affairs’ web presence and associated
databases: responsibilities include but are not limited to: system architecture, design, documentation, operation, maintenance, monitoring and
troubleshooting of web servers, databases and applications
Position supervises student programmers and provides various trainings and workshops to users

| Minimum Job Qualifications |
|
High school graduation and three (3) years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
|

| Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities |
|
Familiarity with programming languages including: Coldfusion MX 6.1; Java; Javascript; ASP.NET; HTML; XHTML; XML; Microsoft SQL
and PHP and C/C++ for application development
Experience maintaining dynamic web site security and databases driven information
Ability to learn and apply The University of Montana polices and procedures
Familiarity with client-server integration with an understanding of Microsoft Windows Servers and IIS
Knowledge of and experience in supervisory practices and procedures; ability to apply project management practices
Effective public relations, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
with a diverse group of individuals
Ability to develop and conduct training sessions; ability to train and advise users; ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and
non-technical audiences
Ability to maintain technical currency, trends, and products
Ability to work independently, as a team member and a team lead
Time management, prioritizing and multitasking skills with the ability to efficiently distribute effort among various assignments and duties
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
Ability to problem solve, analyze and troubleshoot while maintaining a professional, personable demeanor
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends or holidays as required to meet department needs
Ability to travel to attend workshops, conferences and continuing education courses
