Primary Functions

  • Provides accurate and skillful dishroom and kitchen cleaning; cleans and sanitizes equipment; responsible for proper operation, cleanliness, and maintenance of large commercial-ware washing machine; maintains inventory of sanitizers and cleaning products
  • Provides oversight and training to dishroom staff and other users
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: food preparation and service; positive guest service
  • Assists with food/supply inventories and ordering; receives deliveries from vendors
  • Contributes to the success of UDS as an active member of the UDS Team
  • Minimum Job Qualifications

  • High School graduation and one (1) year related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of commercial-ware washing equipment, proper use of detergents, and proper ware washing temperatures with the ability to learn new equipment
  • Working knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices and methods
  • Ability to train and lead users on washing and sanitation practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to provide guest service; ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse group of individuals
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn and apply current UDS policies and procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and exercising sound judgment
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team
  • Must be able work an irregular work schedule
  • Must be able to obtain ServSafe Certification within one year of employment
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Montana driver’s license

  • Must be able to lift materials/supplies weighing up to 40# from floor level to table height; perform duties while standing for extended periods of time; perform duties with repetitive motion of wrists, arms, and shoulder; work with noise, cleaning products, soaps, sanitizers and odors; and perform duties in varying temperature (hot, cold) environments
