Position is as a member of the Night Crew which works a traditional graveyard shift 10:00pm to 6:30am. Duties include: sweeping, mopping,
polishing, waxing and refinishing floors; vacuuming and shampooing carpets; dusting, cleaning, and polishing furniture; cleaning and disinfecting
lavatories and kitchens; cleaning ceilings, vents, walls and woodwork; cleaning interior and exterior glass; collecting and removing trash, garbage
and recycled material from building; moving furniture for events; occasional outside work (sweeping, mopping and snow removal); security of
facility (detecting locked doors and windows); performing minor custodial equipment repairs (replacing light bulbs, & cleans light fixtures);
maintaining basic, complete records and notifying appropriate authority of needed repairs
Position will demonstrate knowledge of custodial methods and up-to-date cleaning equipment and techniques used for scrubbing, disinfecting,
mopping, dusting, polishing and related tasks; ability to operate cleaning equipment including buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, shampooers, high-
pressure cleaners and extractors; effective interpersonal, communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with a diverse group of individuals; organizational and time-management skills; ability to develop skill in the use of personal
computer and related software (Microsoft Word, Outlook) with the ability to learn new software; ability to work with little direct supervision and
work in a lead-worker capacity when needed; ability to perform related constant physical activity

| Minimum Job Qualifications |

High school graduation and one (1) year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge of or ability to learn custodial methods and up-to-date cleaning equipment and techniques. A written exercise will be given at time of
interview.
Skill in operating or ability to learn to operate cleaning equipment

Ability to learn to operate or skill in use of personal computer and related software
Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills

Must be able to perform constant physical activity: Lifting: floor to knuckle height 77#, 12 inches to 40 inches 100#, floor to 60 inches 50#, floor to 48
inches 60#, floor to overhead 5# sustained with both hands; carrying: 2 handed front carry 77# for 10ft.; perform push/pull activity with equipment
weighing up to 60# sustained at waist level and up to 75# on occasional basis; static trunk forward bending and twisting from a standing,
crouching or kneeling position while using tools; repetitive reaching with arms in all directions, overhead 5# in both hands sustained; working overhead
from various positions (standing, squatting, and kneeling); balancing and climbing on a ladder; use of various grip circumferences and firm hand grip
positions while manipulating various tools and equipment (maximum of 50#). A Physical Screen will be administered prior to a final offer of
employment.
