Funding Information

Overview

Funding Sources at the University of Montana Mansfield Library
Since the Spring of 1993, the Mansfield Library has been a member of The Foundation Center's Cooperating Collections Network. As such, a core collection of current information on private and corporate philanthropy has been developed and is located on Index Table #10 located in the Reference section, Level 3.

In addition to learning about funding sources and identifying foundation grants available in given subject areas, the library is developing a segment of the collection aimed at scholarships and financial assistance. Working in cooperation with the UM Foundation, ORSP, the Mansfield Friends of the Library, and the Western Montana Fund Raisers Association, a printed bibliography has been prepared to help identify useful resources and is available at the Mansfield Library.

Another grant-writing how-to that might be helpful is The "Proposal Writer's Guide" by the University of Michigan.

Funding Opportunities

Additionally, GrantsNet is a free funding service that specializes in training in the biomedical sciences and undergraduate science education.

There may be additional international opportunities through UM's Office of International Programs.
