BEYOND A BUILDING: Montana’s hub for environment and conservation

The W.A. Franke College of Forestry and Conservation seeks to erect a new landmark facility as a companion to the current 1922 Pinchot Forestry Building, as it currently houses only about 20% of our program. Additional space is needed to provide best in class facilities for research and innovation, premier student and faculty collaboration experience, and an active community space. All within a structure featuring leading sustainable design and practices.

"The Franke College is central to the University of Montana and its work is linked to all Montanans' quality of life. The placement of this facility at the heart of campus reflects that.” – Seth Bodnar, UM President

CLT

Cross-laminated timber is an engineered wood panel that is redefining the building industry. Developed in Europe over 20 years ago, CLT is now in demand across North America as a lighter, low carbon, renewable and sustainable building material. The product rivals the strength and durability of steel and concrete.

Support is sought to see this vision become a reality. You can help.
