Personal Summary

Originally from New York, Marco grew up enjoying wildlife and the outdoors of the northeastern US before moving to Missoula to attain his B.S. in wildlife biology at the University of Montana. During that time, he worked on projects studying elk habitat and bighorn sheep habitat and lamb survival. After graduating, Marco worked as a research associate in the Boone and Crockett Wildlife Conservation program at UM, finishing a project studying how prescribed fire and mechanical thinning habitat treatments influence elk habitat and use of treatments by elk and other mammal species. During this time he additionally assisted on elk calf and black bear captures and analyses of hunting regulation complexity. He is currently pursing a master's degree in wildlife biology in the Boone and Crockett Wildlife Conservation Program at UM. His research currently focuses on using dedicated bird radars to help inform Bird Aircraft Strike Management programs at Air Force Bases in the central flyway.
