Mission
The Cabinet consists of the President’s executive leadership team plus shared governance leaders. Cabinet members promote cross-sector communication and problem solving to ensure the quality, integrity and sustainability of the University of Montana.
Guiding Principles
- We nurture an environment of trust, valuing curiosity, candid conversation and collective problem solving.
- We bring information, perspectives, solutions and representation from all areas of the campus and, in turn, are intentional about communicating back to our constituencies.
- We are proactive and responsive regarding the challenges and opportunities presented at the University of Montana.
- We follow through on the key issues raised and report back on progress.
- We commit to excellence at all levels within the University of Montana.
Roles and Responsibilities
- We advise the President on actionable items that support the mission of the University of Montana.
- We represent diverse constituencies and stakeholders of the University of Montana by coordinating participation and ensuring all voices are heard during Cabinet discussions.
- We engage in the university community, representative of the diversity of thought that exists across the institution.
- We ensure we are accessible to those who seek to provide input to the Cabinet.
