In-class workshops: Invite us to collaborate with you! Our staff can work with you to insert discipline-specific writing workshops into your course at key points during the semester. Tailored to particular assignments and to student needs, these workshops support your class goals and help students recognize and develop effective communication behaviors. University-wide Program-level Writing Assessment (UPWA) Fall Symposium: Join us for this professional development opportunity for writing instructors. UPWA Spring Writing Assessment Workshop: Be a part of this annual campus-wide evaluation of student writing proficiency. Workshop participants will develop confidence in grading strategies through scoring a random sample of real student papers, and identifying common problem areas and strengths. Date and time TBD.
