Due to revised state revenue estimates the MUS was funded at a level below budgeted sustainability. Filling the gap for FY 2010-2011 is $17.6 million in Stimulus Funds allocated to the MUS, of which The University of Montana received $3.6 million per year.
Current projections point to a $3.6 million dollar shortfall in FY 2012-2013.
As of October 2009, there are 21 months before the shortfall takes effect. Our collective patience, understanding, courage and most importantly ideas are needed to help bridge this gap.
