An external link is one that links to a web page outside of Cascade.
Start the process for adding an external link by highlighting text. Click on the insert/edit link button.
The Insert/Edit link dialogue window appears as shown below. Select the External radio button. Next type the target URL into the Link: window. If the target for the link opens in the "Same Window" (see below) the current web page's content will be replaced with the new content when the site visitor clicks on the link. If the target is "New Window" a new tab or browser window will open with the new content when the visitor clicks on the link and the current content/page will remain in the old window.
Click insert to finish.
To edit a link again, simply click once on the link to place the cursor. The link buttons on the toolbar will be highlighted (see below). Click on the link button to edit the link properties or the 'break' link button to remove the hyperlink.
