This 2001 logo was developed to target age groups middle school through college-aged students. 2001 Zypher Hat Corporation developed the snarling grizzly logo for the University.
This symbol is used primarily on University uniforms, merchandise, clothing and some printed materials.
These symbols representing men's and women's basketball are used exclusively by Intercollegiate Athletics and The Bookstore.
Grizwald is used primarily by Residence Life, Enrollment Services, Dining Services and the Alumni Association. It's not to be used by Intercollegiate Athletics. The bear is an original creation by Neal Wiegart from UM's Printing & Graphic Services. The bear can be adapted to do just about anything from rafting to reading. Please get permission to use Grizwald from Printing & Graphic Services at (406) 243-2711 or have Neal custom design a bear for you.
