UM Marketing and Events Promotion

Here are some tools for marketing your campus event or promoting campus news.

Griz Hub Events Calendar

The first step to marketing your event is to enter your event information into Griz Hub, UM's events calendar and management tool. Events posted to Griz Hub are listed in the calendars appearing UM e-publications such as UMToday, UM Student Weekly and on the UM homepage. Visit Griz Hub for access and event tutorials. When you become a UM student or employee, you are automatically granted a Griz Hub account via your NetID. If you are having trouble entering your event into Griz Hub, email Emily Ferguson-Steger at emily.steger@mso.umt.edu or Karen Schlatter at karen.schlatter@umontana.edu.

TV Slides

UM has more than 70+ TV slide locations across campus managed via our RiseVision account. Departments and ASUM-recognized student groups are able to promote their events and initiatives across campus. To submit a TV slide, complete the Digital Signage Intake Form.

  • Slides must be developed in 1920x1080 and have a sponsoring UM logo included on the slide. Slides should be horizontally oriented. 16:9 is the optimum width-height ratio.
  • Slides will not be accepted for external organizations without a UM sponsoring department.
  • All content must abide by all university policies, and may not promote use of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco, as our primary audience is ages 18-22.

Social media

University Marketing and Communications maintains UM’s central @umontana social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Several colleges, departments, offices and student clubs also manage their own social media channels.

If you would like your event highlighted on UM's Instagram account, tag @umontana in your stories to be considered. Please note, stories must adhere to UM branding guidelines to be considered. Questions? Email Emma Dorman, UM social media manager, at emma.dorman@umontana.edu

University Logos

To receive the official UM logos for your college, department, office or unit, email Andy Chapman, director of brand strategy, at andy.chapman@mso.umt.edu. You can also find instructions on logo use on the University Logos webpage

Banners and Signage

Marketing and Communications has a variety of UM-branded signage and banners available on loan for on-campus and off-campus events.  Fill out this form to request banners and/or signage. If you have questions, email Karen Schlatter at karen.schlatter@umontana.edu.

UMToday is distributed via InfoGriz. Request an InfoGriz email by emailing cary.shimek@umontana.edu or news@umontana.edu or calling 406-243-5914.
