I-House Policies

Reservation To-Do List

  1. Email global.engagement@mso.umt.edu to submit a request to reserve the I-house for your event
  2. Receive a confirmation email within 2 business days
  3. Set a time to meet the managers at least 30 minutes before your event 
  4. Sign a Terms of Use Agreement with the managers and go over the cleaning expectations 
  5. Enjoy your event!
  6. Clean up and submit feedback

Cleaning Expectations

Cleaning supplies and a checklist will be provided during your event. It is the organizer's responsibility to ensure the I-House is left in an equally or better state than at the start of the event. A manager will explain the cleaning expectations and show you where to find the supplies when you sign the Terms of Use Agreement before your event. 

Living Room

  • Return all furniture to its original position
  • Vacuum carpet
  • Wipe all surfaces
  • Put away any supplies, dishes, or games
  • Take out the trash

Kitchen

Unfortunately you cannot store any food in the I-House before the event nor should you leave any leftover food at the I-House after your event.

  • Wash all dishes and put them away in the designated cabinet or drawer
  • Wipe down the counter
  • Remove all food from the refrigerator - do not leave leftovers in the I-House
  • Sweep the floor first, then use the Swiffer Wet Jet to mop
  • Take out the trash
  • Clean the stove
    • Wipe the surface, knobs, and handles - there should be no oily surfaces
    • Rinse the burner pans in the sink
    • Remove any food leftovers

Bathroom

  • Wipe down the sink
  • Clean the toilet
  • Sweep the floor first, then use the Swiffer Wet Jet to mop
  • Take out the trash
