Indigenous Graduate Student Association

The goal of the IGSA is to create community and support among indigenous graduate students, regardless of area of study. The IGSA is inclusive of all indigenous identities and practices and aims to meet the needs of all indigenous scholars This support might look like group study sessions, presentation practice, childcare, or just general social get-togethers.

The Indigenous Graduate Student Association (IGSA) was started by Ph.D. student, Nicole Benally, in the fall 2022 semester. The current leadership roles consist of Nicole Benally (President), Mykel Greene (Vice-President), Xavier Lovato (Treasurer), and Sierra Paske (Secretary).

If you are interested in joining the IGSA, please email nicole.benally@umconnect.umt.edu. We look forward to supporting the IGSA for years to come.
