Convocation

Students walking

Monday, Aug. 28 | 7 p.m. (Tentatively) | UM Oval

Academic Convocation occurs each fall and is a celebration to officially welcome incoming students to the University of Montana.

Please join us on the Oval at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, for UM Convocation 2023 to help welcome the Class of 2027.

The program will feature remarks by President Seth Bodnar, Interim Provost Adrea Lawrence, and a video produced by KPCN, our student production team.

Afterward, students will break into smaller groups around the Oval to meet the faculty and staff from their intended programs of study. Each unit will be identified by signs. UM employees are asked to gather at these sites to greet students.

New this year, friendship bracelet making station. Stop by this station to make a friendship bracelet for yourself or to give to a friend.
