Personal Summary

Andy Josten serves as the Student Success Coordinator of the Davidson Honors College. He assists the DHC team with student advising, works with new and prospective students, assists in DHC event planning, helps to oversee the DHC Peer Mentorship Program, and is the host of DHC Trivia Nights.

Andy was born and raised in Rapid City, South Dakota and moved to Missoula in 2018 to begin his undergrad at the UM School of Music. He graduated in 2022 from the University of Montana and Davidson Honors College having received his Bachelor of Music Composition with a minor in Climate Change Studies. While in school, Andy was part of the DHC Student Advisory Council, worked as a Resident Assistant, and worked as an administrative assistant at the UM School of Music. He performed in numerous music ensembles including the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Bands, Marching Band, Percussion Ensemble, and Guitar Ensemble.

Hobbies

On top of regular visits to the dog park with his pup, Shark, Andy is an avid skiier, he hikes, backpacks, runs, and makes music, photography, and pancakes. He's a composer, guitarist, bassist, and drummer and is happy to play whenever he can.
