The Mansfield Center regularly hosts student interns who provide support for the Mansfield Center's mission and programs while building up their own portfolios of international and academic experience.

Program Internships

Program Marketing

A red-headed UM student hugging two southeast Asian participants.Program Marketing interns will work closely with Mansfield Center staff to create a cohesive portfolio of promotional material including informational fliers, brochures, and online media for multiple exchange programs focusing on a wide variety of topics including environmental studies, civil society, and youth leadership. Interns must be highly self-motivated and capable of working independently. This is an unpaid or workstudy internship for 10-15 hours a week that offers extensive experience. Women's Leadership Initiative

Women’s Leadership Initiative Interns will work closely with Mansfield Center Director Deena Mansour to support the Women’s Leadership Initiative. Interns will primarily provide research support to the Initiative, but may also be called on to support communication, outreach, and logistics. This is an unpaid or workstudy internship for 5-10 hours a week that offers extensive experience. Course credit may be available if desired. Photo and Print Journalism Internship

Photo and Print Journalism Interns will work closely with Mansfield Center staff to create a photo essay recording the Center’s U.S. Department of State exchange programs focusing on environmental studies and civil society development. Interns will also coordinate with the Mansfield Center Director and communications staff to create quality articles and reports on multiple Mansfield Center initiatives for use in quarterly reports and online media. Interns must be highly self-motivated and able to work independently. This is an unpaid or workstudy internship for 10-15 hours a week that offers extensive experience. Student-Designed Internships

The Mansfield Center offers student-designed internships at the lower and upper division levels on an individual and case-by-case basis. These internships may provide support to Mansfield Center programs or staff members' research that is relevant to a student's area of study. If you are interested in working with Mansfield Center staff to create such an internship, contact the relevant staff member or the Mansfield Center at mansfield.center@umontana.edu
