Equipment Orientations & Fitness Consultations
Campus Recreation members may benefit from a variety of services offered by our personal training staff. The following services are available by appointment, which can be made at the front desk of the Fitness & Recreation Center or on our online registration portal. Equipment Orientations - Free!
We encourage all of our members to take advantage of this free service to ensure safe workouts! Learn through hands-on, personalized demonstrations of the proper use of exercise equipment. Our personal trainers are able to introduce and explain proper use of all cardio, weight and functional training equipment.
Fitness Consultation - $10
Receive expert advice based on your current fitness level and health and fitness goals in this one-hour session with a personal trainer.
Body Composition Measure - $5
A personal trainer will use the three-site skinfold technique to estimate the percentage of body fat by measuring skinfold thickness at specific locations on the body. For men the three sites measured with calipers are chest, abdomen and thigh. For women sites include the back of the arm, above the hip and thigh. A t-shirt and shorts are required for the procedure.
