Important Financial Aid News

University of Montana is excited to announce that we have renamed our entering student scholarship awards from Leadership, Achievement and Service Award (LAS) and Montana Academic Achievement Scholarship (MAA) to University of Montana Academic Achievement Scholarships (UMAAS). Students who were awarded a MAA or a LAS prior to the start of the spring 2021 semester, will see the name changed on future registration bills and within Cyberbear, this does not change the monitory amount of the scholarship, nor does it change any of the renewal requirements needed to keep the award.

The Financial Aid Office is open for walk-in and in-person counseling, we have individuals available from 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday in Lommasson Centers' Griz Central, across from Cashiers. In addition to this we also have counselors available to answer questions via email and chat during regular business hours. Please continue visiting our website regularly for the most up-to-date information pertaining to financial aid.

In order to answer some of the most frequently asked questions, we have created a COVID-19 FAQ page.
