College is a time to learn, explore, and try new things. It is a time to step out of your comfort zone and start thinking about who you want to be, personally and professionally. Setting goals and action steps can help you explore all that is available. Think about the overall experiences you wish to have; do you want to study abroad? Participate in National Student Exchange? Gain internship experience or participate in undergraduate research? All of these things are possible, but they require some planning.

The overall goal of a Bachelor's degree is to provide you with a broad set of skills and knowledge so you can be a competitive candidate for a job and become an informed citizen. Exploration is intentionally built into your curriculum through general education requirements, electives, majors, and minors. It is important to be intentional with your college experience.
