The easiest way to schedule an appointment with your advisor is through Navigate. Most advisors also have the link to schedule with them in their email signature and on their employee directory page.

While on the appointment scheduling page, under the "Service" drop-down menu, select "Change of Major/Minor" to bring up all available advisors. You can then filter by the staff member if you know the name of your advisor. If you are unsure who advises for the program you are interested in, use the advising directory.

  1. Open Course Search (also called Browse Classes) and select the semester.
  2. Click the "Gen Ed Req," box and select the gen-ed category that you want to search.
  3. Click the "Campus/Course Location" box, and select your preferred locations: UM-MSLA shows in-person classes and Distance Learning-UM shows online classes.
  4. Click "Search," and you will see all gen-eds that fulfill the category.

  1. Login to your Cyberbear account and click the "Student Services" tab.
  2. Click the "Registration" button.
  3. Select the correct semester and click "Submit."
  4. Click "View Registration Information."
  5. Once on this screen, make sure you are in the right semester and then you can view your schedule.
  6. Click "Schedule Details" to bring up the classroom location or to view your schedule in list form.

UM has a scholarship portal that opens around November each year. Completing the general application instantly applies you to any scholarship you are eligible for and will suggest scholarships you qualify for that require additional material such as a writing sample.

There are several jobs, clubs, organizations, and volunteer experiences available on campus. Griz Hub shows all the upcoming campus events and when clubs/organizations meet. Handshake allows you to search for on and off-campus jobs. Destination Missoula and Volunteer Missoula can help you get connected to the larger Missoula community.

  1. Click the "Parking Portal Login" button on the UMPD Parking page.
  2. Scroll down to the "Permits" option, and click "Get Permits."
  3. Click the "UM NetID Login" button.
  4. Log in with your NetID.
  5. Click "Next."
  6. Select the parking permit type you want to purchase.
  7. Follow the instructions to purchase the permit.

All University employees are required to communicate with UM students through their @UMontana emails. It is best to switch your preferred email to your @UMontana email.

  1. Login to CyberBear, and click "Personal Information."
  2. Click the "Add New" option on the left-hand side of the page.
  3. A popup box should appear to add a new email address. Select "Your work/personal e-mail account" option from the dropdown menu.
  4. Enter your @UMontana email address.
  5. Click the "Mark as Preferred" box and then click "Add."
