University United Food Friday

REGISTER NOW FOR UNIVERSITY UNITED FOOD FRIDAY!

The 2021 University United Food Friday (UUFF) event is underway! UUFF is a great opportunity for UM, United Way of Missoula County, and many Missoula community partners to serve together, helping to build connections and feed thousands of our neighbors.

On Friday, October 8, 2021, 400 volunteers will package 90,000 nonperishable meals for distribution to youth and their families through the Missoula Food Bank’s EmPower Pack weekend nutrition program. The program provides healthy meals for students who experience chronic hunger while away from school. Each of the meals serves a family of six, allowing the entire family to enjoy a meal together, or feeding a child for the entirety of an extended school break.

To celebrate United Way’s 90th anniversary, we are taking on the exciting challenge of packaging 90,000 meals this year! This will make a big impact on local children and families struggling to find ways to obtain affordable meals.

Volunteers can sign up for one of two shifts. The morning shift is from 10:00 am-12:00 pm, and the afternoon shift is from 12:30 pm-2:30 pm. Individuals and groups register via Qualtrics.

Interested groups can register as teams and teams will be assigned tables and given instructions on packaging upon arrival to the UC.

Limited free parking is available to sponsors and volunteers on October 8th. 110 spaces will be reserved on the top floor of our main campus parking garage (Parking Structure R3). For other parking and transportation options, check out the UM Parking Maps and ASUM Transportation.
