The State of the University address (SOTU) is an annual tradition at the University of Montana. In addition to marking the beginning of a new academic year, SOTU offers an opportunity for the UM family to celebrate our collective successes, look forward to the shared work of the coming year, welcome new faculty members, and honor newly-tenured and promoted faculty.
