WHAT IS BANNER

UM Faculty and Staff use the Banner system for key administrative functions and data management. Banner is a web-based, graphic user interface that enables employees to process everything from payroll to finances to student records.

UM has installed the following Banner modules:

• Accounts Receivable
• Finance
• Financial Aid
• Human Resources
• Student

JAVA

Java is software that must reside on all Windows and Macintosh machines that use a web browser to access Banner. Detailed information about Banner and Java is available on our Java page.

BANNER TRAINING

Several Banner courses are offered each semester. The training schedule and registration process are available online by clicking on “Register for Training” below. New Banner users – In order to obtain a Banner account you must complete the Banner Basics course.
