Indigenous Research and STEM Education (IRSE) is dedicated to the advancement of Native American, Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian, and First Nation students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) academic disciplines and professions.

Service to Native students emphasizes generating STEM interest among Montana middle school students though summer camps and school visits, campus-based college instruction to Montana high school students, tutoring and advising to UM undergraduate students, and research mentoring to UM graduate students.

2015 SUMMER BRIDGE PROGRAM--NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FROM MONTANA NATIVE AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS TO ATTEND 3 WEEK SUMMER PROGRAM ON UNIVERSITY OF MONTANA CAMPUS.  NO COST, PLUS STUDENTS RECEIVE A $500 STIPEND FOR ATTENDING.
