WELCOME TO GREENING UM!

Greening UM is a coalition representing all UM sustainability initiatives. It represents every eco-minded initiative on campus from those in the classroom to those in the heating plant. Specifically, this website is maintained and overseen by the Sustainable Campus Committee and the Office of Sustainability. We welcome comments and feedback and encourage all members of the UM community to be a part of Greening UM.

CLIMATE ACTION PLAN

Sustainability Pledge

The University of Montana held its first climate action plan public open house in November. There will be a follow-up feedbackmeeting on December 8th at 6:00 pm in UC 330. This session will be a time for public comment. The goal of these meetings are to bring people together to share ideas on how to reduce UM’s greenhouse gases and include sustainability in the University’s academic mission.

  REVOLVING ENERGY LOAN FUND (RELF)

Revolving Energy Loan Fund

The optional $4 student fee for the Revolving Energy Loan Fund (RELF) passed through the Board of Regents. This fee will start a campus-wide fund to help pay for energy saving and waste reduction projects. Students from across campus are encouraged to submit project proposals that will address energy savings. Currently the RELF commitee is being formed and a call for proposals from students will be out later in the semester. For more information contact  Erica at asum.sustain@mso.umt.edu
