University of Montana Style Guide

This style guide aims to improve University of Montana publications and make them more consistent with one another.

For more information on UM brand guidelines, visit www.umt.edu/brand.

The guide goes beyond giving advice on subjects like academic titles, room names and use of "the University of Montana." It also addresses grammar and commonly misspelled words.

The main section of the guide is organized alphabetically. Where necessary, it will have a linked cross reference. For example, "scholarships" is listed under "S," but the entry refers you to the "awards, fellowships, scholarships" entry for a full discussion.
